This year's Festival Ciné-Palestine will take place in Paris and Aubervilliers from 2 to 11 June 2017. The festival aims at promoting a new generation of promising Palestinian artists and filmmakers.
For the first time this year, Festival Ciné-Palestine is launching a short-film competition intended for young Palestinian talents.
The selected features will receive a Jury Award, and an Audience Award on June 6 2017, in Paris.

Article 2. Entry fee
As a non-profit festival, the Festival Ciné-Palestine does not charge an entry fee
Article 3. Conditions
Only films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for invitation in the Competition:
Films that have been produced from 2012 onwards;
Films that are either documentaries, fiction, or animated films;
Films that have not been released anywhere other than their country of origin;
Films that have not been presented at any other international Festival or Competition;
Films that have not been exhibited on the Internet;
Films that are in line with the aims of the Festival Ciné-Palestine;
Films that do not exceed 30 minutes in length, including credits;
Directors under 35 years of age.
Only one film per director is accepted.
Article 4. Withdrawal
Once a film has been selected, it cannot be withdrawn from the Festival program during the event.
Article 5: Exclusivity
During the entire duration of the Festival Ciné-Palestine, none of the films invited may be shown outside the Festival's official theaters before its official screening.
Article 6. Language and subtitles
All films must be presented in their original language, with English or French subtitles. By “original language” we mean the language in which the film is or will be exhibited in its country of origin.
It is for the Selection Committee to decide whether or not a film that does not exactly meet the above-mentioned criterion may participate in the Competition.
All films with dialogues in a language other than French will be electronically subtitled by the festival’s technical department.
Article 7. Jury
The Festival Selection Committee designates the 3 foreign and French members of the Jury for the short film competition.
No person having taken part in the production or exploitation of a film in competition may be member of the Jury.

Article 9. Submission
Films to be submitted for the Selection must be entered by April 15, 2017.
An entry form must be filled out on our website www.festivalpalestine.paris prior to this date.
Article 10. Documentation
Complete documentation for each selected film is to be made available to the Organizers when required.
Article 11. Publicity and press
Each participating film contact will receive a request from the Festival Organizers to send publicity materials. These materials will be used in the Festival publications and for distribution to the press and the Festival guests.
The Festival is qualified to use excerpts from the film, with a maximum of 3 minutes, nationally and internationally for promotional purposes. In the event that excerpts are not available, the Festival is qualified to copy, under its strict supervision, one or more excerpts from the film for promotional use prior to and during the Festival only.
For promotion of the entire selection and of each selected film, the Festival website is allowed to use any photo or digital film clip (less than 3' duration).
Article 12. Expenses
Expenses for the shipping (for both import and export) and screening of selected films are to be met by the film's producers or relevant body.
Article 13. Regulation authority
The Festival Selection Committee has the power to settle all cases not covered by the present rules and regulations.
Article 14. General terms
Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of all the aforementioned regulations.
In case of litigation, the Festival Ciné-Palestine will have sole jurisdiction.
